- TexTools
- I find TexTools practically indispensable for doing UVs. Every 3D Blender artist should have this addon.
- Project-Timer
- Outline Helper
- This doesn’t do anything special other than automating setting up inverted hull outlines. Immense timesaver
- Apply Shape Key to Basis
- This is a ported feature from CATS that works on 3.6+, immensely useful.
- Sculpt Mask Tools [Gumroad] [Github]
- Main feature I use is saving sculpt masks to vertex groups
- SKkeeper
- Apply modifiers to meshes with shape keys
- Vertex Group Utils
- Robust Weight Transfer
- This is a tool everyone should have in their toolkit, it doesn’t replace the vanilla method of weight transfer! It works a bit differently in how it interprets weights, it’s amazing.
Included Blender Addons
All of these were included in blender before 4.2, otherwise you can find them on https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/
- LoopTools
- Has a LOT of functions, but I primarily only use the circle tool.
- AddCurve: Extra Objects
- AddMesh: Extra Objects
I like these, but they’re not as important/good as the ones above
- BoneDynamics (Free)
- If you take this addon at face value, it’s honestly not great. HOWEVER! If you only use it to automate setting up your bone-soft body constraints, it’s amazing. Expecting this addon to work out of the box to get you physbone/dynamic bone style bone physics is a recipe for disappointment basically x)
- Animation Retargeting
- Extremely clear user interface, fairly simple, I’ve found it’s easiest to use for retargeting Mixamo rigs
